Midsummers Night

Pendle Way On A Midsummers Night will take place on Saturday 24th June 2023 from 8pm.

This special staging of our Pendle Way race is limited to 100 entries and a great way to get some night-time and navigational training.

Purposefully set on the shortest night of the year, we will be holding the event whenever the Midsummers falls on a weekend, so not planned to be staged again until 2028 after this year!

Starting from Barley at 8pm at night, you will take a short hop and climb up Pendle to catch the Sunset atop of the mighty Hill.

From there you’ll wind your way through the valleys and nightime of the Pendle valleys with your headtorch guiding the way.

At approximately 20miles, you’ll have a choice to make – cut short and make for the finish line at 30miles or head on into the night for the full 45miles. But don’t fret, you don’t need to decide which until the night (or is it morning??)

Either way, there’ll be a warm welcome back at the finish line and plenty to replenish.

This fresh take on the Pendle Way is great for nightime navigation practice, and a fabulous time out on the trails as part of a group.
